MANILA, Philippines- San Miguel Beer and Alaska Milk try to sustain the momentum of their Sunday wins as they meet B-MEG Derby Ace and Talk n Text in their respective 2010 PBA Fiesta Cup best-of-seven semifinal duels at the Araneta Coliseum today.

The Beermen and the Aces set out for Game Four determined to push the Llamados and the Tropang Texters to the brink of elimination.

With the two-day rest, coach Tim Cone’s Aces enter the court at 5 p.m. with fresh legs and a good shot at taking a 3-1 lead.

San Miguel and Derby Ace clash at 7:30 p.m. with the Beermen ready to hold their ground in a protracted defensive battle with the Llamados.

“We’ve played more games but the break allowed us to refresh. We’re returning to the battle on even terms with Talk n Text,” said Cone.

“Against Derby Ace, you have to be ready always for a defensive struggle. We’re well aware of that,” said San Miguel coach Siot Tanquingcen.

The Llamados and the Texters, meanwhile, are aching to get even, knowing how tough it is to climb out of a 1-3 hole.

“We lost Game Three because Diamon Simpson thoroughly dominated Shawn Daniels and they took 34 free throws to our 13. If we’re able to solve at least one of these, then we’ll have a chance in Game Four,” said TnT coach Chot Reyes.

Another problem for Talk n Text is that guard Ryan Reyes is a doubtful starter with an injured right leg.

“We rested Monday as we had no legs in Game Three. It’s something that worries me as I have short rotation compared with their 14-man well-rested deep roster,” said Derby Ace coach Ryan Gregorio.

“We’re still upbeat. Imagine we competed with them toe to toe up to the end Sunday despite their overwhelming roster power, rest and healthy players. We’re determined to keep afloat by just fighting until the fighting is over,” Gregorio also said.
